Telling the truth protects innocent people from being blamed or punished. Telling the truth allows everyone to learn from what happened. You usually get into less trouble for telling the truth other than for lying (and getting caught). Other people trust you more when you tell the truth. You don't have to tell (and remember) more lies to keep your story straight. You gain a reputation for being truthful - a trait most people value. Telling the truth helps you to feel secure and peaceful inside.   What Barbara is saying is that its important to tell the truth. Telling the truth will make you a better person. Good Values ''The most important thing you will ever have is good values.'' Dennis Prager What Dennis Prager is saying is that you should value good things. A person who kills should value human life instead of killing. A person who steals should value not stealing. Its not good to not value the good things. Some people may think that you should care more about your feeling than valuing. Its more important to value than care. If your dog was drowning but then you see a person drowning as well who would you save? If you save your dog that is feelings because you care about him and you don't want him to die. But if you save the person better than your dog then that means that you value humans. Its always good to value the important things. There are 3 things without good value and those are: money, love, and happiness. You become a better person when you value good. When you start to value the goodness it makes you realize that somethings are better than o...

''I have been asked what I mean by ' word of honor. ' I will tell you: Place me behind prison walls-walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground-there is a possibility that in some way or another I might be able to escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word or honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No, never! I'd die first.'' Karl G. Maeser  Having honor is very important. When you show honor it shows the type of person you are. You can show honor in your everyday life. It also affects you in school. An example for when you're at school is when your friend asked you if you can help them with their homework at 3:00 pm in the library. Its your choice to show them honor by going to the library and meeting them. If you don't show up that just being rude and not showing honor. An example of how you show honor in everyday life is when your parents as...

''Character Matters Most.'' Dale Murphy This statement made by Dale Murphy is important. It shows how character is important. Someone who has good character does the right. Who you are as a person is important. An example for this quote is if you're taking a test and you don't cheat. That's showing good character. Another example is if you see someone who needs help crossing the street and you offer to help them. You're also showing good character. Now on the other hand someone people may not have good character. This is bad. Its bad because you're not choosing the right and you're being disrespectful. Some examples of having a bad character is if you cheat on a test. Its wrong because cheating on a test won't get you anywhere in life because you're not learning correctly. Another example is if a teacher calls on you and you get mad at them. That's not having good character. You're disobeying them and disrespecting them. ...
