There are many ways you can become a better person. Some ways are so be kind and caring. When you're in school you should be polite to everyone. You shouldn't cheat or lie. When you're outside of school you should be responsible and respect others. Doing these things will not only make you a better person but you'll have better character.We saw a video where this lady wanted to become a nurse but she didn't have the money to pay for her studies. She worked in a restaurant and you met this one man who wanted to help her out. He insisted in paying her school billings. He asked her 3 times and she said yes. She then became a nurse and they sill visit each other. This old man probably felt the need to help her because she is a good person and he noticed that. You can build character doing the smallest things.

Nelson What Russel Nelson is saying is that you shouldn't always copy and do the same thing everyone else is doing because you never know if something is wrong. An example of this is, if you see people cheating on a test. You will then do it too but its doing the wrong. Its wrong to cheat because once you cheat you will never stop and its not right. Its also wrong to cheat because if you cheat your whole life when you work in the career you trained for you're not going to know whats going on. Another example is if you're at a party and you see people and kids smoking. They're going to tell you if you want some and since everyone else is doing it you're going to do it too. An example of having good character is if you're helping a elder cross the street. That's showing good character because you're helping someone and you're being caring. You're taking some time away to help someone and do good. An example of having bad character is when the teacher calls on you to do a problem and you respond back with attitude saying no and how you didn't even raise your hand. Forgive

Student Success Statement ''When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive.'' Alan Paton What Alan Paton is saying is that forgiveness is healing. It's important to forgive. Once you forgive you feel better about yourself. You also feel more peaceful. An example is that if you and your brother had a big fight and it hurt you. You should still forgive him because no matter how long ago that fight was from he's still your brother. Plus once you forgive him you won't be angry at him anymore. Another example is if someone was once drunk driving and they crash a car. They will go to jail and then if the car was broken really badly the owners will be very angry at the person. But sooner or later if the person ask for forgiveness they should forgive them. Because if they beg for your forgiveness or not it shows that they care and they truly feel sorry. Plus you'll feel better once you forgive them.
