Periodontist

Duties and Responsibilities: As a periodontist, you'll treat patients who have gum disease and other issues of the gums and bones surrounding the jaw. Your work may be surgical or non-surgical and might include tasks like placing implants, developing treatment plans, and providing preventative care.

 Salary: $305,820

 Education: Periodontists are required to complete a periodontics residency, which is usually three years long.

 Demand or this Profession: 

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  •  manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • knowledge of business management concepts if starting a private practice
Reflection: This career doesn't really interest me because when you're a periodontist you might have to do surgery on people and i don't like that. Also because being a dentist doctor doesn't really interest me.

Class Evaluation 1. The things I liked about this class was meeting new people. As well as improving my typing skills. I also like how we did a goals planning journal so achieve our goals.  2. Things I did not like about the class was how we did we did the same thing like everyday. Also that we weren't allowed to use phones or listen to music. 3. My recommendations for improving the class is to let us listen to music or if we can recommend music for you to play. Also to change everyday up. For example one day we do student success and one day we don't. Also maybe do more partner projects.  4. Yes, I am reading my Life Goals Journal at least five minutes daily. I like to keep myself updated with my life. I also know that I want to achieve most of my goals and that is why I write more and more. 5. Always be you. Now if you don't follow others you must be doing the right. An example to doing the right that isn't popular is going to hospitals and helping out. People might think you're weird or something but you're doing the right. You are also following your heart and being who your are.
