Be True

Student Success Statement
''I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.''
Abraham Lincoln

This student success statement is about how you should always be true to yourself and others. When you're true to yourself you show that you respect yourself. You should always stand for what you believe is right. When you stand up for your right/ what you believe in you're being true to yourself. An example of standing for whats right is if your friends want to go smoke and they invite you. Maybe a part of you would want to go because you want to fit in with them but you know its not right. There you are being true to yourself because you know it's wrong so you won't go and join them. Another example is if you're taking a test and your friend asked you form the side to let them copy. You might want to do it because they're your friends and you would feel bad saying no. But you know it's not right and letting them copy would only get you more in trouble because you're them one who allowed them to. So always be true to yourself and follow the right.

Forgive

Student Success Statement ''When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive.'' Alan Paton What Alan Paton is saying is that forgiveness is healing. It's important to forgive. Once you forgive you feel better about yourself. You also feel more peaceful. An example is that if you and your brother had a big fight and it hurt you. You should still forgive him because no matter how long ago that fight was from he's still your brother. Plus once you forgive him you won't be angry at him anymore. Another example is if someone was once drunk driving and they crash a car. They will go to jail and then if the car was broken really badly the owners will be very angry at the person. But sooner or later if the person ask for forgiveness they should forgive them. Because if they beg for your forgiveness or not it shows that they care and they truly feel sorry. Plus you'll feel better once you forgive them.

Wrong is Never Right

Student Success Statement ''Even if everyone is doing it, WRONG IS NEVER RIGHT.'' Russell M. Nelson What Russel Nelson is saying is that you shouldn't always copy and do the same thing everyone else is doing because you never know if something is wrong. An example of this is, if you see people cheating on a test. You will then do it too but its doing the wrong. Its wrong to cheat because once you cheat you will never stop and its not right. Its also wrong to cheat because if you cheat your whole life when you work in the career you trained for you're not going to know whats going on. Another example is if you're at a party and you see people and kids smoking. They're going to tell you if you want some and since everyone else is doing it you're going to do it too. This is bad because not only are you doing it to look ''cool'' but you're also damaging your body. Damaging your body and give you a lot of health risk. So just ...

ctr

Student Success Statement ''Being a c-t-r person isn't always easy, but it's the best person you can be.''  Diana Beltran What this means is that being a ctr person isn't always easy but you should try to be one still. Being a ctr person will make you a better you. It will teach you how to better yourself. Also being a ctr will make people want to be with you because they know you're a good person. An example of someone being a ctr person is helping out the community by picking up trash around. Another example of being a ctr person is if someone ask you to help them out with a project to tutoring. That is being a ctr person because you're being kind and helping them out. Now at home you can be a ctr person by helping out and taking out the trash or helping wash the dishes. Being a ctr person may take time but it will be worth it because you'll become a better person. Some ways of being a ctr person is by showing empathy, obedience, pat...
