Duties and Responsibilities: As a pathologist, you might examine and diagnose bodily fluids, such as blood and urine, or tissues from biopsies and Pap smears, to diagnose disease. You may probably perform autopsies to determine a cause of death. You will also treat diseases and make sure blood transfusions are safe. Also develop vaccines against infectious diseases and inherited conditions. Research and develop new tests and treatments.
