Student Success Statement

A choice: Poverty or Prosperity
''I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I want to work, and I decided that I would change it.''

What Dr. Ben Carson is trying to say is poverty is not a big deal. Its okay if you live with poverty. But if you dislike poverty then you should change that by working really hard. The only way you will change poverty is by having a good education. Education is key because without it you wouldn't be able to get a good job. Plus, you must know your stuff and you must work really hard. For example, Dr. Ben Carson lived in poverty. Now he did not like it but he said that he wanted to change that. He was also not a very good student in his class. Then he started to study more and read and sooner or later he started to study to be a surgeon. After being a surgeon he decided to run for presidential candidate. SO now hes not in poverty anymore. He stopped being in poverty by working hard and being focus. You can always achieve your goal if you work hard.

Softball Game  Western Oregon vs Central Washington ''Its A Great Moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time.'' Coach Pam Knox This story is about that there was a softball game. There was this one girl named Sarah Tucholsky who had never hit the ball out of the field but this time she did. When she hit it she ran to the first base and then she hurt her leg. She couldn't get up to run to the other base. Coach Pam Knox asked if her team members could go help her out or if they could switch a person with her so they could finish it. They said that her team members couldn't touch her or help her if they did they would get a point deducted. Challenges

Challenges Teens Face Today Some challenges teens may deal with are keeping up with having good grades. Some challenges may be with problem at home. Or lack of confidences within. Other challenges teens might face are cyber bullying which happens a lot in the internet. At school they might face challenges with fitting in. Teens may also face challenges when going through a break up.  A major challenge I'm dealing with today is raising up my grade for biomedical and English. What I am doing is ding my homework and not procrastinate. As well as doing my class work and turning it on time.  Being a CTR person helps you overcome these challenges by doing whats right.
