Cosmetology



Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for applying makeup and prosthetic to aesthetically enhance celebrities, performers, individuals, entertainers, or for special events such as weddings or dates. Apply makeup to clients using a color palette and different tools such as mascara, sponges, eyebrow shapers, lip liners, brushes, and applicators. Style hair according to makeup. Set makeup with setting materials.

Salary: $26,460 a year

Education:Prospective cosmetology students usually need a high school diploma or GED. This may be a requirement to enroll in the cosmetology program, or it might be part of the states requirements to become a licensed cosmetologist. 

Demand Or Need for Profession: While schooling a license are a must for cosmetologist, having the right qualities is what make or break a career. The skills needed are creativity, customer service, technical skills, stamina, and dexterity.
      
Reflection:This career does interest me. It really catches my attention because I love makeup and I think I want to be a cosmetologist. I want to make people happy and smile once I finish doing there makeup. Even though I'm not good at it right now I want to learn how to do it better so I can do it on other. Plus I have a lot of creativity so i think this would be a great job for me.

Forgive

Student Success Statement ''When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive.'' Alan Paton What Alan Paton is saying is that forgiveness is healing. It's important to forgive. Once you forgive you feel better about yourself. You also feel more peaceful. An example is that if you and your brother had a big fight and it hurt you. You should still forgive him because no matter how long ago that fight was from he's still your brother. Plus once you forgive him you won't be angry at him anymore. Another example is if someone was once drunk driving and they crash a car. They will go to jail and then if the car was broken really badly the owners will be very angry at the person. But sooner or later if the person ask for forgiveness they should forgive them. Because if they beg for your forgiveness or not it shows that they care and they truly feel sorry. Plus you'll feel better once you forgive them.
